Peer Mentors
LINKS Peer Mentors aid in the support and retention of first-year multicultural students in the LINKS program, through individualized one-on-one meetings, group study sessions, and small group activities.
To apply for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold at least a 2.75 cumulative grade point average
- Be in good standing with Ohio University
- Be committed to diversity and inclusion at Ohio University
- Work with first-year multicultural students from diverse backgrounds, for the entire academic year
Successful candidates will be responsible for the following prior to official hire:
- Complete official LINKS Peer Mentor application
- Enroll in and successfully complete UC 2900, LINKS Peer Mentor Seminar, in the spring semester
- Complete all required payroll forms
- Submit appropriate documentation for student employment
