Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Intersectionality Reception
Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Location: Baker 1804 Lounge
This social and educational program will raise awareness about the presence of Latinx and Hispanic LGBTQ+ people. The workshop will serve as productive space for Latinx and Hispanic LGBTQ+ members to amplify their voices, speak about their experiences, and answer possible questions from other members of the community and allies! The program will explore terminology, cultural assets, and resources associated with Latinx and Hispanic people while promoting radical inclusion, community engagement, and a sense of belonging.
National Coming Out Day Celebration

The Ohio University LGBT Center invites you to meet online via Microsoft Teams or in-person in Baker Center’s 5th Floor 1804 Lounge for a National Coming Out Day Celebration featuring crafts, photo opportunities, support resources, student group sign-ups, story sharing, plus countless friendship and connection opportunities. Asexuality Week Celebration

The Ohio University LGBT Center invites you to meet online via Microsoft Teams or in-person in Baker Center’s 3rd Floor Atrium for an Ace Week kick-off featuring educational information about the asexuality spectrum, resources, involvement opportunities, and friendship opportunities. People experience romantic and sexual attractions in different ways and to varying degrees. Attend this program to learn more and to promote awareness about the asexual and aromantic (A-spec) spectra.
Transgender Awareness Week Film and Transgender Day of Remembrance Program

Black History and Intersectionality Alumni Speaker and Reception

Please join the Ohio University LGBT Center, Multicultural Center, Women’s Center, Alumni Association, and SHADES (an Ohio University student organization focused on the experiences of LGBTQIA+ people of color) in celebrating Black History Month, intersectionality, and community connections. This educational celebration will feature information on local racial equity engagement opportunities, remarks from a special alumna guest, community discussion and more. Refreshments will be available for in-person attendees.
