Biography
Julie Roche is a Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Ohio University. Her research focuses on the structure of nucleons and mesons through electron-scattering experiments at Jefferson Lab and the future Electron-Ion Collider. She combines precision measurements, detector development, and data analysis to address fundamental questions in nuclear physics and contributes to the leadership of several international scientific collaborations.
As Undergraduate Chair, Professor Roche is committed to expanding research opportunities and strengthening the undergraduate experience in physics and astronomy. She mentors undergraduate and graduate students, develops curriculum, and prepares students for careers in academia, national laboratories, and industry.
