Ana L. Rosado Feger

Dr. Rosado Feger (aka: Professor Feger, Dr. Feger, Dr. Ana) started her career as a chemical engineer, developing coating processes for thermal transparencies and instant film while working for Polaroid Corporation. She was a member of the Operations Leadership Team for the Industrial Coating Division, responsible for all aspects of product delivery for photographic receiving sheet. After Polaroid, she joined Hitachi Electronic Devices (HEDUS) and learned first-hand the challenges of cross-cultural business adaptation. At HEDUS she provided engineering and operations support for the production of projection tubes for large-screen television formats. She is most proud of her work at St. Jude Medical CRMD (now part of Abbott), a manufacturer of implantable medical devices. Her facility provided electrochemical processing of material for energy storage devices used in implantable cardiac defibrillators.

Since joining OU, Dr. Rosado Feger has been involved in Faculty Senate, Learning Communities, faculty mentoring, and community service with particular emphasis on K12 education. Her current research interests include intra-firm supply chain processes, the role of management support in operation systems, information processing in organizations, quality management, and management education.

Dr. Feger is a self-described Lego nerd, coffee addict, and travel enthusiast. She spends way too much time in her office at Copeland Hall and loves having faculty and current, former and future students drop by and chat about classes, internships, pets, Lego, triumphs, and challenges. There are always snacks and there is always chocolate. Sometimes there's even coffee. When she's not in her office, she enjoys running (slowly), swimming (much better) and biking (toss-up), and doing 5k's, half-marathons, and triathlons. Her hobby when sitting still is learning languages for places she wants to visit. So far she's managed Catalan (Barcelona), Portuguese (Sao Paulo), Italian (Rome), French (Paris) and briefly knew a bit of Greek (the "original" Athens) and a bit of Hungarian (Budapest). Someday she will get to New Zealand, where at least she will not have to learn a new language!

Dr. Rosado Feger resides in Athens with her husband and their two lovable pugs.

Research Interests

Dr. Rosado Feger's research interests include the design of operating systems for an aging workforce and the interface between operating systems and organizational behavior, including motivation, communication, and mechanisms that enhance collaboration. Secondary strong interest in curriculum development and pedagogy, along the continuum from K-12 through postgraduate.
