Update Links to College of Business Website by Feb. 1

The website for Ohio University's College of Business launched in the Drupal Web CMS in early December, and its new URL will require updating references to any of its content.

Going forward, content managers should use the current URL listed below. Links to the former site are being temporarily redirected, but these will eventually expire and result in a broken link.

Web managers are asked to review this Excel spreadsheet  (OHIO password required) and update any nodes on their sites using the instructions in the spreadsheet. This should be done before Feb. 1.

Navigation Menu

Improvements were made in the display of collapsed menus, which are available on screens too narrow to accommodate top-navigation menus. The updates improve navigation for sight-impaired users who rely on a keyboard, rather than mouse, to move around a site. Menu categories are framed in green when targeted.

OHIO Editorial Style Guide Updated Extensively in December

The University’s official style guide has been newly updated and published online. While the University has at times previously maintained multiple guides and/or style conventions for news and marketing, the OHIO Editorial Style Guide has now been updated and consolidated to become its sole official style guide.

Ohio University now generally defaults to AP style in all communication, though some style conventions have been adapted or overruled for University use where noted. For guidance on any style convention not explicitly covered, OHIO employees can access the full AP Stylebook using the link below.

The guide will be reviewed and updated by University Communications and Marketing twice annually, or more frequently as need dictates. Please take a moment to review the guide and note any frequently used conventions, and thank you for working together to deploy consistent communications across Ohio University.
