Tyler Grubbs

Hometown: Traveled around a lot growing up, but I consider Sandy Hook, Kentucky home.

Education: I completed a Bachelor of Specialized Studies: with areas of concentration in Philosophy, History, & English from Ohio University.

Hobbies: Reading, spending time with family, listening to music, and writing 

Favorite Artists: This depends on the day: Merle Haggard, Sublime, Keith Whitley, Dirty Heads, John Coltrane, Jack Johnson, Anti Lilly, to name a few.

Pets: None currently.

Why OHIO? As a first generation, non-traditional student I needed a lot of support to be successful during my first few semesters of college. OHIO gave me that. I am proud to be part of the team now supporting and cheering on students towards their goals.

Any advice? Do not compare your college journey to anyone else’s. Utilize resources that are available to you. Reach out to your success advisor if you have questions or concerns. Take care of yourself.
