The Office of Experiential Learning (OEL) at Ohio University develops, delivers, and promotes innovative applied learning opportunities for all OHIO students. As a Carnegie-designated "Professions-focused Opportunity School," OHIO is proud of the number and types of Experiential Learning opportunities it provides and is consistently working to expand and enhance those opportunities across the Ohio University system.

SXSW brings the future of the technology, film and music industries to the present and OHIO students make connections with some of the biggest names in those industries through experiential learning.
Experiential Learning through Southern Ohio Copperheads
The Southern Ohio Copperheads have been a part of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League since the 2002 season and have brought on some talented players over their existence, having close to 50 former players drafted by Major League Baseball teams.
Experiential Learning through Project Hoffnung
Project Hoffnungâ„ was created in 1997 to help provide cancer outreach programs to Amish and Mennonite communities. Project Hoffnung aims to provide a bridge between the respected beliefs of these cultures and the modern advances in breast cancer care.
