Ohio University

Associate's Degrees

Ohio University offers two-year degree programs in applied studies (A.A.S.), arts (A.A.), science (A.S.), and individual studies (A.I.S.). The Ohio Department of Higher Education considers the associate degree to be the first two years of college, so the degree can only be earned prior to or concurrently with a bachelor's degree. Although a student is ineligible for the A.A.S., A.A., or AS degree if they already have a four-year degree, they may be eligible for the A.I.S.
