Jennifer Lisy is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Teacher Education at Ohio University. She has taught education courses in a range of university settings and brings deep experience in technology integration across in person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning. Her work focuses on writing, technology, and educator preparation, and she has led technology trainings nationwide.

AI Workshop
Ohio University Southern will host a three hour, in-person AI Workshop supported by a Talent Ready Grant. Guided by OHIO's commitment to accessible education and learning through experience, this workshop connects campus and community participants with practical, responsible AI approaches that can support programs, organizations and evolving workforce needs in our region.
The 2026 AI Workshop at OHIO Southern will take place March 12, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Bowman Auditorium.

| 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. | Grant Writing and AI See how AI can support the grant process from start to finish. Participants will learn ways to use AI to identify funding opportunities, outline and draft proposal sections and organize application materials while still verifying facts and keeping the work aligned with funder requirements |
| 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. | Transactional vs. Transformational Uses of AI Explore two different ways to use AI at work. Transactional use helps with individual tasks like summarizing, drafting or organizing, while transformation use focuses on improving processes and outcomes across a team or organization. Participants will identify where AI can save time and where it can help rethink a workflow for better results. |

Basil Masri Zada is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Digital Art and Technology at Ohio University. A transdisciplinary scholar artist and educator, he teaches digital arts and technology and brings expertise in digital and interactive media, creative coding, and contemporary studio practice. His academic and creative work connects art, technology, and the practices of everyday life.
