The Launchpad is the Ohio University Music Industry Summit's official podcast. Our artist discovery podcast is recorded live annually at the Music Industry Summit to highlight the music and stories of emerging artists.
In partnership with the Scripps College of Communication's Masters of Fine Arts program, seasoned radio host and MFA student David Oyuke has hosted and produced the first two seasons of the podcast, including 16 outstanding episodes, featuring a variety of artists and bands across genres. All episodes are featured below and can also be streamed on Spotify.
Apply Now for Season Three
A third season of The Launchpad will be recorded at the 2026 Music Industry Summit taking place on April 14-16, 2026.
All artists and bands are welcome to apply to be featured in one of eight episodes. The deadline to apply is Monday, March 23, 2026 at 5 p.m. ET. Artists will be notified by March 31 if selected.
- All artists/bands must be able to attend the Summit on April 15 and/or 16 to record the episode.
- All selected artists/bands will be featured in a podcast episode to be released on YouTube and Spotify in summer 2026.
- All selected artists/bands are invited to participate in a photoshoot and will be provided access to the high-resolution images.
