Is there a cost to attend the in-person conference?
The Music Industry Summit will continue to be free for students and educators at any institution and Ohio University alumni.
For all other attendees, the early bird registration fee will start at $75 for the entire three-day conference and will increase to $100 leading up to the Summit.
Conference registration will include access to all primary programming and evening networking events, including our opening party. All concerts at Memorial Auditorium hosted as part of the Music Industry Summit will be separately ticketed for all attendees.
Is there a cost for virtual registration?
No. Registration to watch the livestreams of the main stage sessions is available to anyone free of charge. Mentoring roundtables, breakout sessions, evening events, and lunchtime programming will not be available for livestream. Virtual attendees will not be able to submit questions for Q&A.
What does registration for the in-person conference include?
All in-person registration options (paid and free) give you access to programming on Tuesday, April 14, 2026* and all panel and interview sessions in Baker University Center Ballroom on Wednesday, April 15 and April 16, 2026. Additionally, registrants will have access to networking events, the Official Music Industry Summit Party, breakout sessions, and more. Seating for each session will be provided on a first come, first seated basis. Entry to all events is given on a first come, first serve basis based on capacity.
*Tickets for the concerts at Memorial Auditorium are not included with any registration, paid or free, and will require a purchase. Additionally, a cover charge will be required by The Union for the MIS After Party.
Some programming like mentoring roundtables may require an additional RSVP; more details to be announced.
Will I need to register to watch the livestreams?
Yes, registration will be required to watch the livestreams. If you will only be watching the streams and will not attend in person, you will need to register here. Virtual attendees will be provided a YouTube link to access the livestreams. Virtual attendees will not have access to submit Q&A to speakers.
What is your refund policy on registrations for Industry Professional/Other Attendees?
All paid registrations are nonrefundable. We can offer a registration transfer. To make a registration transfer, please contact musicindustrysummit@ohio.edu.
When registration for the in-person conference closes, can I still register on site?
In-person day-of registration will be available if we have not reached capacity.
