Below you can register for the 2026 Ohio University Music Industry Summit to attend in-person in Athens, Ohio, or virtually. Helpful registration FAQs can be found at the bottom of this page.

  • In-Person Registration

    Register to attend the three-day in-person Summit April 14-16, 2026. Free for students and educators at any institution and Ohio University alumni. A $75 registration fee for all other Industry Professionals is required. The price increases to $100 on March 23 and to $150 for on-site registration. Online registration closes Thursday, April 9th. On-site registration will be available April 14-16. FAQs can be found below on what is included with your registration. 

  • Virtual Registration

    If you are unable to join us in person, we invite you to register to watch the livestreams. The livestreams will be available free of charge for anyone. Please note: Only main stage programming will be available for livestreaming. Virtual attendees will not have access to submit Q&A. Registration FAQs

Is there a cost to attend the in-person conference?

The Music Industry Summit will continue to be free for students and educators at any institution and Ohio University alumni.

For all other attendees, the early bird registration fee will start at $75 for the entire three-day conference. The cost increases to $100 on March 23 and will be $150 if registering on site. 

Conference registration will include access to all primary programming and evening networking events, including our opening party. All concerts at Memorial Auditorium hosted as part of the Music Industry Summit will be separately ticketed for all attendees.

Is there a cost for virtual registration?

No. Registration to watch the livestreams of the main stage sessions is available to anyone free of charge. Mentoring roundtables, breakout sessions, evening events, and lunchtime programming will not be available for livestream. Virtual attendees will not be able to submit questions for Q&A. Sessions that will be livestreamed are noted on the schedule, in the "location " section for each session. View Schedule

What does registration for the in-person conference include?

All in-person registration options (paid and free) give you access to programming on April 14-16. Registrants will have access to networking events, the Official Music Industry Summit Party, breakout sessions, and more. Seating for each session will be provided on a first come, first seated basis. Entry to all events is given on a first come, first serve basis based on capacity.

Tickets for the concerts at Memorial Auditorium are not included with any registration, paid or free, and will require a purchase. Additionally, a cover charge will be required by The Union for the MIS After Party. 

Some programming like mentoring roundtables may require an additional RSVP. See the schedule for details.

Will I need to register to watch the livestreams?

Yes, registration will be required to watch the livestreams. If you will only be watching the streams and will not attend in person, you will need to register here. Virtual attendees will be provided a YouTube link to access the livestreams. Virtual attendees will not have access to submit Q&A to speakers. 

What is your refund policy on registrations for Industry Professional/Other Attendees?

All paid registrations are nonrefundable. We can offer a registration transfer. To make a registration transfer, please contact musicindustrysummit@ohio.edu

When does online registration close?

Online registration for the in-person event will close on Thursday, April 9 at 11:59 p.m. ET. 

When registration for the in-person conference closes, can I still register on site?

Yes, in-person day-of registration will be available. Students and faculty/staff at an educational institution and Ohio University will continue to be free of charge. The on-site registration fee for all others will be $150.
