Cathy Levy
Leadership Council
Cathy Levy is a retired professional whose career spanned engineering (IT) and nonprofit management. Since retiring, she actively engaged with universities, non-profits, and churches, contributing her time and expertise as both a volunteer and board member. Today, she focuses her energy and philanthropy on environmental initiatives, efforts to address food insecurity, and support for higher education.
With respect to higher education, Cathy and her husband, Dave Levy, stay closely connected to their alma maters, The Ohio State University and Ohio University, through board service and philanthropic contributions. Cathy Levy has served on the Leadership Council of the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts since 2018. In recognition of their support for a facilities renewal project within the College of Fine Arts, a campus building was renamed the Levy Ceramics Studio in 2025.
Cathy and Dave live in Columbus, Ohio, with their fabulous dog, Sheldon. Outside of her volunteer work, Cathy plays trumpet with the Arch City Big Band, where the camaraderie and jazzy grooves make every rehearsal and performance a joy. She also shares a love of historical fiction with her book club, and Cathy stays active with restorative walks in nature and exercise bike sessions that double as time to get lost in a great show.
