Fodor's research interests are option pricing, connectedness of stock and option markets, and sports betting. His papers have been published in journals such as: Financial Review, Review of Asset Pricing Studies, Journal of Banking & Finance, Journal of Futures Markets, Journal of Business, Finance, and Accounting, and Journal of Sports Economics. He earned bachelor’s degrees in math and economics from Capital University and his Ph.D. in Finance from Florida State University.
