The Third Annual Ohio University Music Industry Summit will take place on Thursday, March 25, 2021. The Summit features an exclusive gathering of national and regional music industry leaders and artists for a day of informative panels and compelling interviews, a networking meet-up for panelists and registrants, and an evening showcase of music. Registration to open in 2021.
Next year, Multi-GRAMMY award-winning producer and artist FINNEAS will join us for a special keynote conversation and performance on Thursday, March 25, 2021. This past January, FINNEAS and Billie Eilish swept all major GRAMMY categories, including album of the year, song of the year, record of the year, and best new artist for the hit album "WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?" This past fall, FINNEAS’ solo release "Blood Harmony" drew widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike, while his recent collaboration with Billie Eilish on the new James Bond title track "No Time To Die" was hailed as a masterstroke in the genre. The OHIO Performing Arts & Concert Series will have tickets back on-sale for the evening performance starting Friday, July 24 at noon.
Marcus J. Moore
Acclaimed music journalist Marcus J. Moore will be joining us for the third annual Ohio University Music Industry Summit. Marcus J. Moore is an award-winning music journalist, editor, curator, pundit, and author of "The Butterfly Effect: How Kendrick Lamar Ignited the Soul of Black America." It's being released through Atria Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, on October 13, 2020. Mr. Moore is a contributing writer with The Nation and a contributing editor with Bandcamp Daily. His coverage of soul, jazz, hip-hop, and rock can be found at The New York Times, Pitchfork, Entertainment Weekly, The Washington Post, NPR, Rolling Stone, and The Atlantic, among many other outlets.
Jen Malone is a two-time Emmy Nominated music supervisor based in Silver Lake. In 2018 she was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Supervision for Atlanta and again in 2020 for Euphoria. She was awarded the Guild Of Music Supervisor Award for Best Music Supervision - Drama for her work in Euphoria.
