Biography

Born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Tuba earned her undergraduate degree in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Dhaka. She is a development practitioner and gender equality advocate with years of progressive experience working with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and UN Women in Bangladesh in the areas of Programme Management and Implementation, Knowledge Management and Monitoring and Evaluation.

In recognition of her contributions to advancing gender equality, Tuba received the UN Volunteer Country Award (2022). She was also awarded the Australia Awards Fellowship (2023), which took her to Tasmania and Brisbane to explore opportunities in the blue economy.

Currently, Tuba is pursuing her Master’s in International Development Studies at Ohio University, where she continues to build on her expertise in gender, development, and global policy.
