Biography
Tijana Cupic is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Modern Languages at Ohio University and a graduate faculty member. Her research focuses on contemporary Latin American and Latinx literatures and their connections to Eastern European literatures, particularly the affective politics of migration in transnational contexts spanning Greater Mexico, Central America, and the Balkans. In her Latin American literature and Spanish classes, Tijana uses creative assignments and assessments rather than test-based ones, such as community interviews, social media projects, and work that bridges the classroom and the world around us.
