Tammy Hogsett

Tammy Hogsett serves as the Community Health Workforce Development Coordinator at Ohio University Health Sciences Professions. In this role, she supports workforce development efforts that strengthen community-based care and expand capacity to serve children, families, and vulnerable populations across Southeast Ohio. 

Prior to this position, Tammy served as the Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant and Project Lead for the NAS II Workforce Development initiative, which focused on substance use disorder under the R-CORP grant. Through this work, she helped guide initiatives designed to build workforce knowledge, resilience, and effectiveness in supporting families affected by substance use disorders. 

With a strong foundation in early childhood education and development, Tammy spent 23 years as a preschool teacher before transitioning into mental health consulting and workforce development. Her extensive classroom experience provided her with a deep understanding of child development, family engagement, and the importance of supportive early learning environments. 

Tammy holds a bachelor's degree in human services from Ohio University and has earned multiple credentials in both mental health and chemical dependency. Her commitment to ongoing professional development reflects her dedication to remaining informed about best practices in infant and early childhood mental health, substance use disorder support, and community workforce development.
