Stephen Lewis

Dr. Stephen Lewis is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Mathematics at Ohio University. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics, a B.S. in Psychology, an M.Ed. in Mathematics Education, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from The Ohio State University. A former high school mathematics teacher, Dr. Lewis teaches mathematics content courses for prospective elementary and middle school teachers. His research focuses on teaching and learning mathematical modeling, facilitating mathematical discussions in contextualized applications, and exploring interdisciplinary connections among mathematics, literature, history, and STEM.
