Biography
I've worked in UCM at Ohio University since 2022, training and supporting hundreds of web editors in the use of Drupal and best practices in digital accessibility. I am passionate about accessibility and inclusion in the courses I create and in the webpages built across ohio.edu. With over a decade of experience leading web content management system (CMS) training and support in higher education, I’ve developed a unique skill set that sits at the intersection of instructional design, technology, and user experience. I have a great deal of experience in learning online and several years experience teaching online. It's important for site editors to feel comfortable making informed decisions about the content they add to their websites. To that end, I provide a variety of ways for editors to learn: written instructions, videos, and 1-on-1 assistance. I teach the detailed steps involved in creating pages in Drupal along with the background information for accessibility and inclusiveness.
I’m currently expanding my expertise in instructional design, UX learning theory, and digital pedagogy while earning the Master's in Computer Education and Technology from OHIO.
