Samantha Staggs

Samantha Staggs is a Bobcat alum who earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Ohio University in May of 2026. During her undergraduate career in the BSW program, she completed her senior year internship as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. During this time, she took on various roles supporting individuals with special support care needs, helping them locate resources, and promoting independent living.

She is a licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio. At Ohio University’s Survivor Advocacy Program, she seeks to provide trauma-informed, person-centered care through a confidential, comforting, and safe environment.

As an advocate, Sam hopes to create a supportive and empowering space for student survivors to navigate their individual journeys. Outside the office, Sam enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching her favorite show, New Girl, and enjoying life alongside her dog, Ozzy.
