Biography

Dr. Manh Thang Vo is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Ohio University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics in 2026. He brings more than twenty years of teaching experience to the classroom, having taught mathematics at both the secondary and university levels in the United States and Vietnam. He is particularly interested in student-centered and inquiry-based approaches to gateway mathematics and in helping students develop mathematical confidence and quantitative reasoning skills.

Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Vo served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Ohio University and as a Research Scholar at Kent State University, and held academic positions at Vinh University of Technology Education in Vietnam.

His research lies at the intersection of abstract algebra, coding theory, and information theory, with particular interests in error-correcting codes, quantum error-correcting codes, and quantum synchronizable codes. His recent work explores new quasi-cyclic code constructions arising from entangled polynomial structures and related algebraic frameworks. His research has appeared in journals including Finite Fields and Their Applications, Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, Algebra Colloquium, and Quantum Information Processing.
