Lisa S. Dael

Lisa S. Dael is the Director of the Center for Technology and Online Programs (CTOP) in the Patton College of Education at Ohio University. She provides leadership for online and regional campus graduate programs and workshops, supporting faculty, students, and academic departments in delivering high-quality digital learning experiences. With nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, continuing education, and online program administration, Lisa has expertise in educational technology, accessibility compliance, student support, strategic program development, and recruitment and marketing. 

Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in English and a Master of Library Science with a concentration in Archival Sciences from Kent State University. Her diverse professional background includes work in school libraries, archives, community education programs, and higher education administration, providing her with a broad perspective on teaching, learning, information management, and community engagement. 

Since joining Ohio University, Lisa has served in a variety of leadership roles supporting online, regional campus, and continuing education programs. She collaborates with faculty, staff, and university leaders to enhance student success, improve access to education, and support the growth and sustainability of online and hybrid academic programs. Her work focuses on creating student-centered services and leveraging technology to improve the educational experience for learners across Ohio and beyond. 

An active contributor to the university community, Lisa serves in shared governance and leadership roles that promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. She is committed to expanding educational opportunities and building partnerships that support Ohio University's mission of providing accessible, high-quality education.
