Biography
Karen is the Middle Childhood Program Coordinator on the Chillicothe Campus. She is a former Career Tech Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher at Urbana High School, Bishop Flaget School, and Paint Valley Schools. Prior to her work at Ohio University, Mrs. Corcoran also worked at the University of Rio Grande and the Gallia Vinton Educational Service Center. In these positions, her work centered on bridging teachers to license and new teacher induction.
Corcoran serves as Regional Coordinator of Professional Internships in Teaching for the Patton College of Education and Program Coordinator of Middle Childhood Education at OHIO Chillicothe. Her community service includes Rotary, St. Mary’s Family Life Committee, Ohio 4-H Foundation, Ross Ohio State Alumni Club, and Gallia Vinton Education Service Center Advisory Board. She was proficient at developing young leaders advising several clubs and organizations resulting in many opportunities for her students to become leaders at the local, district and state levels.
