Biography
Julie Elman earned her MFA in photography from Ohio University and BFA in commercial design from the University of Dayton. Her industry experience includes working as a designer, picture editor, and photojournalist at a variety of U.S. newspapers. Since 2005, she has taught publication design at Ohio University — and is passionate about helping students explore their own creative process. In her spare time, she works out, draws, and plays old-time music.
