Biography
Hanna Mathess is a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) who has recently transitioned from the clinical setting to support the education and academic growth of the child life field. Throughout her time at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Hanna supported patients and families throughout a variety of clinical settings. Notably, the majority of Hanna's clinical time was completed on the Hematology/Oncology inpatient unit followed by the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Throughout her final year engaging in clinical work, Hanna served as an adjunct instructor in the Human Development and Family Science program at Ohio University.
Hanna presently serves as an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Human Development and Family Science program at Ohio University. In this role, she is committed to fostering the academic and professional development of students pursuing careers in pediatric healthcare, while developing competent and compassionate professionals.
