Biography
Ginny Jiang joined the faculty in the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts at Ohio University. Her interdisciplinary work spans dance theatre, performance-making, video, community engagement, and dance ethnography, exploring how power, visibility, migration, and belonging are embodied and negotiated through everyday movement practices.
Her dance and film works have been presented nationally and internationally, including at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Edinburgh, UK, the 33rd Korea Dance Festival in Seoul, South Korea, the Guardian Art Center in Beijing, China, Art Week Italia di Santa Maria del Fiore & ISOLART Gallery in Florence, Italy, MaiOui Danse Arts in Saint-Julien-Molin-Molette, France, ACENTRICSPACE in Shanghai, China, Indie Short Fest in Los Angeles, USA, and the Amsterdam Lift-Off Film Festival in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
