Biography

Bre Sullivan is a doctoral intern who earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology, and her double Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish from Saginaw Valley State University. Her previous clinical experience includes providing individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological assessment in private clinical counseling, community-based mental health, and college counseling. Bre’s therapeutic approach is rooted in humanistic-existential, psychodynamic, feminist, and relational orientations. Using helpful tools like mindfulness, nature- and animal-centered therapies, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and narrative therapy, Bre enjoys helping individuals of all backgrounds and histories feel empowered to grow. Her clinical interests include humans who manage Sensory Processing Sensitivity (otherwise known as Highly Sensitive People), intergenerational trauma, attachment healing/other relational concerns, LGBTQIA2S+ identities, women’s issues, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem/self-love. Bre focuses on creating a non-judgmental environment for all students to feel safe in exploring their needs, paving the way for self-prioritization, and gentle reminders that each person is the driver of their own life. Outside of her professional life, Bre finds deep meaning in the appreciation of animals and nature, playing video games, being an avid professional wrestling fan, listening to and creating music, reading, and spending time with friends, family, and her cats and dogs.
