NOTICE: The Master of Public Health (MPH) program at Ohio University is currently an applicant for accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). A site visit is scheduled for February 21-22, 2022. Interested individuals are able to provide “third-party comments” to the Council via email at submissions@ceph.org up to 30 days prior to the scheduled site visit.

The field of community and public health examines how health issues are affected by social, behavioral and environmental factors. Professionals in community health work to advance health promotion efforts in a variety of international and national organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO); the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); state and local health departments; community-based organizations; corporate wellness programs; voluntary organizations and healthcare facilities.

Bobcat Student Orientation

OHIO student leaders prepare for Bobcat Student Orientation

This summer Bobcat Student Orientation will include virtual and in-person events and options for students and their families. 

The orientation experience has been expanded to include three phases. Phase 1 includes pre-orientation modules that will be released to students in May. The live event in June with an option of attending virtually or in-person is the second phase. Programs have been shortened to one day to help ensure the safety of participants with regard to COVID-19 protocols. Finally, Phase 3 will take place in July as a post-orientation module experience.
