With the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies bachelor's degree, students gain opportunities to explore the phenomenon of gender and sexuality and their intersection with race, ethnicity, class and other elements of diversity. Gained Interpersonal and Conflict-Management Skills

As a community engagement and accessibility coordinator for the City of Athens, Lacey Rodgers helps develop inclusive procedures and practices. She credited her involvement with Empowering Women of Ohio for preparing her for the field and giving her connections that led to further career opportunities. Rodgers, who earned a B.A. in WGSS as well as several other degrees from OHIO, also credits WGSS for the interpersonal and conflict-management skills she uses daily.

Course offerings cross many fields. Students may choose from over 70 courses offered across 20 different departments throughout the University. Complete a total of 30 semester credit hours of women’s, gender, and sexuality studies coursework.

Students complete a capstone course in either Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies or LGBTQ Studies.
