Library of Women's-Centered and Feminist Books & Magazines
We have a collection of over 500 books available for check-out to faculty, staff, students and members of the community. We gratefully accept donations of books and magazine subscriptions to update our collection.
Meeting Rooms
Members of the university and community are encouraged to use the Women's Center for meetings, events, and classes. Please contact Sharon Romina at 740-593-9625 or email womenscenter@ohio.edu to make a reservation.
Lactation Room and Childcare Information
The Lactation Room is located in Baker University Center Room 353, and is open to faculty, staff, students and the community. A refrigerator is provided. For information about childcare in Athens, please click here.
Resource Library and Archive
We are constantly updating our resource library to provide information about women's services at Ohio University and in Athens County.
Student Support
The Women's Center offers support for both undergraduate and graduate students. We provide research resources through our library, the occassional stipend to support research and travel, and many activities throughout the year for anyone interested. Deadline for applications are september 15 and february 15. For more information, please email Susanne Dietzel at dietzel@ohio.edu.
The Women's Center is also a member of the National Women's Studies Association and receives three complimentary student memberships each year. Students interested in utilizing these memberships should visit the center for appropriate paperwork.

The Women's Center collaborates with many community groups in the Athens area. Please see our Useful Links page for these agencies.
The Women's Center also collaborates with community organizations through programming, resources, and logistical support. Please contact our administrative assistant, Sharon Romina, at womenscenter@ohio.edu if you are interested in reserving the Center, discussing a program, and/or pooling resources.
The mission of the Ohio University Women's Center is to act as a catalyst to promote awareness, education, and advocacy about women, gender, and diversity, among faculty, staff, and students at Ohio University and its surrounding communities.
