Assessment

"Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives." Attributed to Willa A.  Foster; William A. Foster, John Ruskin, or Ted Eastabrooke.

The purpose of this website is to align the work of the Division of Student Affairs with the stated Vision of Ohio University to be the "nation's best, transformative learning community." This connection is enhanced through: the development and application of outcome based planning; assessment that defines impact and informs direction; and research that expands our knowledge.

The website consists of pages dedicated to the planning, assessment and research efforts of the Division and supports the Division's commitment to the institution's four fundamentals of: improving teaching & research; innovative academic programs; exemplary student support services; and integrative co-curricular activities. Tools such as the functional area standards established by the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) are provided in various locations throughout the website.
