Do your university housing contract online at:http://www.facilities.ohiou.edu/housing/rs/index.html by clicking on "New Student Contract". (All undergraduates who have completed less than two academic years of study are required to do this contract before arriving). Questions? Email housing@ohio.edu
Make a reservation for the airport shuttle (March 20, 21, and 22) at: http://www.ohio.edu/transportation Questions? Email transportation@ohio.edu
Make a reservation for temporary housing (March 19-28, 2010) at: http://www.facilities.ohiou.edu/housing/rs/index.html by clicking on "Interim/Temporary Housing" Questions? Email housing@ohio.edu
Register at our office (348 Baker University Center) when you arrive by bringing your I-20 or DS-2019, passport, and I-94. Important Dates:

New International Students must report to the International Student and Faculty Services office at 348 Baker University Center by today

Tuesday, March 23

TOEFL Test at 8:00 am at Gordy Hall

Wednesday, March 24

Required International Student Orientation program for all new international students, 9:00 a.m. at Baker University Center

Friday, March 26

TOEFL Test Results, Gordy Hall

Friday, March 26

Bobcat Orientation: required for students who pass the TOEFL Test, Baker University Center

Monday, March 29

Spring Quarter classes begin

Update on Optional Practical Training (OPT)
18 September 2008
On Friday, April 4, 2008, USCIS announced that it would be publishing new regulations regarding OPT.  These regulations were published on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, and became effective immediately. 
The key provisions of the new regulations are described below.  The provisions that have received the most attention are the provisions for some students to extend their post-completion OPT for an additional 17 months and the provision that will provide certain students authorized for OPT an extension of their employment authorization while waiting for their H1B approval.  THERE ARE OTHER IMPORTANT PROVISIONS IN THESE NEW REGULATIONS. For more information click here (you will need Adobe Reader to view this document).
