Do any privacy laws prevent me from reporting?
No. Privacy laws cover the privacy of records, not behavior. As such, privacy laws do not prevent you from reporting concerning behavior. The best place to report concerning behavior is the Ohio University Police Department. If what causes concern is not behavior but a document instead—such as work a student submits as part of a class project—privacy law still permits you to share the record and your concerns about it with an Ohio University office charged with responding to such concerns. Such offices include the Ohio University Police Department, Counseling and Psychological Services, and the Dean of Students Office.
