WellWorks Wellness Center Memberships
Ohio University WellWorks is not just a fitness center, we're a safe place to explore the full spectrum of health. At WellWorks, our members can engage in a rich community that supports you at every point in your fitness journey.
Our services include offerings such as personal training, fitness assessments, specialty classes, workshops, and group fitness.

Our Facility Memberships are traditionally available to Ohio University employees, their spouses/partners, community members and Ohio University graduate students. We do not offer memberships to Ohio University undergraduate students.
Memberships must be paid in full online or in person using a credit card.

SilverSneakers(R)
Eligibility begins at age 65.
Determine if you’re eligible for SilverSneakers by contacting customer service (888-423-4632). If eligible, bring your 16-digit Healthways/Prime member number into WellWorks to establish a SilverSneakers membership.
Renew Active/One Pass
Renew Active and One Pass are fitness programs for those on United Healthcare (Renew Active) and Medicare or Medicaid (One Pass).

Amenities
Locker Rental: Individuals with a one year or 4-month membership with WellWorks have the option to purchase a locker rental. The member must bring their own lock. If items remain in the locker after the rental expiration date, the lock will be broken and items will be removed and donated if not claimed by the renter within 30 days.

Shower Towel Service: Members - ditch the damp and moldy gym bag with a shower towel service at WellWorks! Each time you finish a workout, simply ask the front desk for a fresh bath towel to help you dry off after your shower. Place the soiled towel in the hamper and we'll do the laundry for you!

Sweat Towel Service: In addition to daily shower towel service, all members can benefit from our complimentary sweat towel service. Members can use our green (fitness center) and red (group fitness rooms) sweat towels at no fee during their workout. Return soiled towels to the hamper and we'll do the laundry!

Day Passes: Guests to WellWorks can utilize the fitness center by purchasing a day pass to the facility. This pass only include fitness center access. This option can be purchased in person at the WellWorks front desk or on our Member Portal.

Payment Options
Flexible Spending Account expenditures: At this time, Ohio University is not established with an Inventory Information Approval System (IIAS) and, therefore, WellWorks cannot accept debit cards from Flexible Spending Accounts such as Wageworks. We can, however, provide you with an itemized receipt for reimbursement submission to your Flexible Spending Account. While some of our services do qualify for reimbursement with some FSA programs, restrictions (such as a letter from your physician) may apply. WellWorks is not responsible for verifying expense eligibility prior to payment.
Payment Plan Options for Annual memberships: Different payment options are available for annual memberships. Members can set-up monthly direct debit payments (see payment instructions below) or pay in one lump sum at the time of enrollment or renewal. There is no difference in cost between the two payment options. If the member chooses Direct Debit, they can also choose to enroll in the Evergreen program, which auto-renews annually. See below for more details about the Evergreen payment option.
Direct Debit Payment Instructions: If you would like to pay for your annual membership via monthly direct debit payments, please be aware that, at sign-up (which must occur in-person to protect your personal banking information), we will ask you to 1.) pay the first month's fee and 2.) provide the following banking details: name of bank, routing number, account number.
Evergreen Payment Option: Members who choose to pay through direct debit can also opt-in to an “Evergeen” payment option. An Evergreen membership has no expiration date and, therefore, does not require annual renewal paperwork. This option does have a $25 cancellation fee should the member choose to cancel their membership after one year.
