PODCAST: John Born talks about the importance of communication in a crisis

What is the role of public leadership during a time of crisis? Last week, John Born was featured on WOUB Public Media's Spectrum podcast to speak on the most important elements leaders must focus on at this time. Born was director of the Ohio Department of Public Safety for John Kasich during the Ebola crisis and has over 30 years of experience in crisis communication. He emphasizes the need for “truthful, consistent and trustworthy” messaging from all news sources.
Born is an Executive-in-Residence with Ohio University's Voinovich School and Scripps College of Communication.
