Provides financial, academic, and human support for young adults who’ve left the foster care system and are enrolled in qualified higher education programs
Ohio REACH (Resources, Education, and Advocacy for College Hopefuls) is a statewide program through the Ohio Children’s Alliance that is dedicated to supporting foster care, kinship care, and/or out-of-home placement connected students in their journey to and through higher education. Ohio University is recognized as a REACH designee by the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
We recognize that students who have lived through foster care, kinship care, or otherwise some form of out-of-home placement have unique needs and barriers to success when receiving a college education. As such, we provide navigation and support for those students to ensure their success academically, professionally, and personally while at Ohio University.
