Transfer Student Orientation Schedule 

This schedule is for in-person summer orientation programs for Transfer students in May, June, and July 2026. Details are subject to change.

 Orientation Parking Information
Parking for summer 1-day programs will be in Lot 132 (next to Peden Stadium), which can be found on the Campus Parking Map. Participants can use the entrance on South Green Drive and accessible parking will be available near the parking lot entrance. If you are using a GPS or other map service, please use the following address to find this parking location: 100 Richland Avenue, Athens, OH 45701. When you arrive at the lot, an orientation leader will provide you with a parking pass at the entrance.

Connect with orientation leaders and fellow students while exploring what the Ohio University experience is really like. This session also features a student panel where you’ll hear firsthand about day-to-day life as an OHIO student. *If you need to take a placement test, please report to Morton 237.

The Office of the Dean of Students will guide you through resources and strategies to help you thrive both academically and personally at OHIO. You’ll also learn about the expectations the university has for all Bobcats.

10:45 - 11:20 a.m.A Fresh Start: Opportunities for Belonging
Led by the Office of the Dean of Students, this panel will introduce key offices and highlight ways to jump right into your OHIO experience. Practical strategies for getting involved and building connections will also be discussed.

In this session, orientation staff will walk you through essential information and systems tailored to the transfer student experience, including guidance on course registration.

Representatives from the University Registrar, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Office of the Bursar, Transportation and Parking Services, Housing and Residence Life, and Culinary Services will provide essential information to support your transition.

Academic Essentials and Course Registration
Meet with academic advisors to review your requirements and get guidance on selecting courses. You’ll also learn about OHIO Guarantee+ Graduation Plans. Advisors and Orientation Leaders will then support you as you register for classes.
