Business

Ohio University's Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB) is a fully online degree program designed to prepare students for business careers in marketing, human resources, supply chain management or technical project management. This AACSB-accredited (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) program is also an excellent foundation for entry into a Master of Business Administration program. 

This program is transfer-friendly for those with previous college credits but can also be completed 100% online, with no previous college coursework required. Students will earn a high-quality bachelor’s degree in business plus a certificate or minor, while developing leadership and supervisory skills, learning to assess business risk and understand competitive challenges. The program’s flexible online format allows you to pace your classes to fit your life and career.

Criminal Justice

The Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree is designed for students who have already completed an applied associate's degree in a related area such as law enforcement, human services technology, corrections technology, or police administration.

It offers students with technical education backgrounds an academic program to broaden their education, helping them qualify for careers in law enforcement administration, parole and probation, forensic science, adult and juvenile corrections, and police administration.

Customer Service Leadership

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Customer Service Leadership is a chance to complete your degree and achieve your goal! Human Services

Ohio University's Bachelor of Applied Human and Consumer Sciences in Human Services equips you with the skills required to serve clients in a variety of public outreach organizations.

The degree provides a path to advancement in social services and other public health roles. You will enhance your leadership and problem-solving skills for work with the elderly, youth, adolescent populations, job and family services, substance abuse treatment and mental health centers, and corrections facilities.

Ohio University's Bachelor of Science in Integrated Health Care Studies was designed for health care professionals who have earned an associate degree in an allied health field and would like to earn a bachelor’s degree to advance in their careers. This program provides opportunities for students to acquire vital knowledge and skills that will be critical in practicing and navigating the health care system, in response to the needs of an increasingly complex state of the American health care system.

Career Opportunities

By earning a bachelor's degree in integrated health care studies, you can further your education and advance your career! This program provides opportunity for students to pursue management and executive positions in the health care industry. IHS students may go on to work in hospitals, medical laboratories, pharmacies, state or federal governmental agencies, long-term care and rehabilitation facilities, clinical research organizations, and more.

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum 60 semester hours of credit in a health-related field (e.g., health technology, medical assisting, human services and technology, health information management, respiratory care, physical therapy assistant).
  • Minimum GPA of 2.67 (B-).
  • To further qualify, the student must have completed the following:
    • One course in mathematics.
    • One course in English composition.
    • One course in biological sciences.
    • One course in psychology, sociology, or social work 5.
    • At least 9 semester hours in additional courses with a health or medical focus including: First Aid and CPR/AED, Medical Terminology, and courses with the Ohio University prefixes BIOS (Biological Sciences), HTCH (Health Technology), MAT (Medical Technology), HST (Human Services Technology) or HLTH (Health). Others will be considered.

Interior Architecture

Ohio University’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture provides a human-centered learning experience that enables you to work in residential or non-residential interior design. You will learn to solve interior space challenges with faculty who have real-world experience from nearly every segment of the field. The industry software technology-based curriculum provides students with a range of creative opportunities and a foundation of skills to explore the world of design.

  • Required: Applicants are required to submit a personal statement which describes why they are interested in pursuing studies in Interior Architecture. Applied Studies

Ohio University's Bachelor of Applied Studies (BAS) degree is an online program designed for associate's degree graduates who want to further their education and advance their careers.

The program provides you with knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to get ahead in your chosen career and integrates the technical skills developed within associate's degree programs with the professional skills in a bachelor’s degree program. The BAS utilizes 60 semester hours of associate degree credit, of which a minimum of 24 semester hours must be in a technical field.

Sociology
