OHIO celebrates Women’s History Month

OHIO’s Division of Diversity and Inclusion and Women’s Center will join a nationwide effort to celebrate Women’s History Month throughout March through numerous campus events and engagement opportunities across Ohio University.

This year, the National Women’s History Alliance (NWHA) has designated its national theme for Women’s History Month as “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.” According to the NWHA, the theme “recognizes women throughout the country who understand that, for a positive future, we need to eliminate bias and discrimination entirely from our lives and institutions.

“Women’s History Month is an ideal time for each of us to uplift the contributions, experiences and stories of the numerous women across history who have impacted both our lives and the lives of those around us,” said Women’s Center Director Dr. Chris Fowler. “This year, we invite everyone across our University community to join us in celebrating Women's History Month and help shine a spotlight on the women who impact us at OHIO and beyond.”
