OHIO to honor faculty award winners during April 5 ceremony

All students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to the Ohio University Faculty Recognition and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 5, in the Walter Hall Rotunda.

During the ceremony, the University will honor faculty members who have received awards for teaching, research or other significant contributions to the University in the last year. The event will begin with a reception at 6 p.m., with the formal ceremony at 6:30 p.m. 

Several of the award winners will be announced for the first time during the evening, while a few were announced earlier in the academic year.

The awards to be presented include: 

• Top 5 Faculty Newsmakers
• Presidential Research Scholars
• Chairs and Directors Emerging Leader Award
• Mid-American Conference (MAC) Student Success Award
• Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching
• University Professor Award
• Presidential Teacher Award

All members of the University community are encouraged to attend to celebrate these faculty award recipients.
