Residential students: Get vaxxed for a chance to win free housing, dining

OHIO residential housing students are leading the pack when it comes to student vaccination rates on the Athens campus: As of Sept. 28, 2021, 79.3 percent of on-campus students were vaccinated, compared with 68.8 percent of off-campus students.

To encourage even more residential students to get vaccinated and help reach the goal of 100 percent vaccination rates in residence halls, Housing and Residence Life and Culinary Services have teamed up with COVID Operations to offer some valuable incentive prizes.

Beginning Oct. 1, COVID Operations will draw winners from eligible residential housing students who get vaccinated before the Nov. 15 deadline to win these prizes:

  • Two students will win full housing and dining scholarships for Spring Semester 2022
  • Three students will win housing scholarships for Spring Semester 2022
  • Three students will win dining scholarships for Spring Semester 2022

For program details and eligibility information visit the Bobcats Get Vaxxed. These prizes are in addition to other incentives offered to students and employees through the Bobcats Get Vaxxed incentive program.

OHIO encourages students who are not yet vaccinated to take advantage of numerous convenient, free vaccination clinics being offered on campus.
