Working in the museum setting at Ohio University has fueled my passion for connecting with community by creating programming/content that bring people into the museum environment. I am presently pursuing my Masters in Arts Administration and my goal as OMC Visitor Experience Intern is to engage and include people to feel welcome, comfortable, and inspired in this important community space.

My work with the Ohio Museum Complex allows me to develop meaningful ways to engage students to explore the natural world around them. Practical field opportunities combined with tangible data gathered by the students help us to make the museum a participatory center for citizen science. These experiences help us to tell a story of place, and that drives my research and professional development. Enabling students to lean into their curiosity is the most important element that drives my interests and research.

I am a senior environmental studies and mechanical engineering student. As a philosopher, writer, and aspiring educator, I am passionate about weaving interdisciplinary education and experiences together to explore the relationship between art, nature, creation, and awe. As the OMC Nature Engagement Intern, I seek connections that unite art & science, feeling & reason, and the real & ideal in hopes of fostering a sense of wonder in myself and others.
