Service Learning for Students
Health Resources Library
The AHEC Health Resources Library is located in Grosvenor Hall room 020 on the Ohio University Athens Campus. The library offers a comprehensive array of both print and online resources for the informational and educational needs of Ohio University, the Heritage College, health care providers and community members.
Premedical Observation
Premedical students interested in observing a physician in a clinical setting are invited to consider a premedical assignment. This opportunity is best pursued during spring quarter, as space is limited for scheduling students with a physician preceptor at other times.
Albert Schweitzer Fellowship
The Albert Schweitzer Fellowship is a prestigious program that allows graduate and professional health students the chance to work on service projects that address the social factors affecting health in underserved communities.
T.O.U.C.H. Program
The Translating Osteopathic Understanding to Community Health program is a national volunteer initiative organized through the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents.
