Sorority and Fraternity Life is committed to the holistic development of all of our fraternity and sorority members. We offer new member and continuing education opportunities for our community members to be constant learners by attending programs that will enhance their personal and leadership development.

PAWs for a Cause

Description: 

PAWs for a Cause is an educational series that encourages community members to attend to discuss topics that are critical in the areas of risk reduction (hazing prevention, alcohol awareness, and bystander intervention), mental health, sexual assault awareness and prevention, leadership development, etc.

The Social Change Model of Leadership Development Learning Outcomes for this program are: Congruence, Common Purpose, Controversy with Civility & Citizenship

Substance Free Monitor Training

Description: 

Substance Free Monitor Training is completed as a hybrid training. For members to become fully trained, they complete the University's alcohol awareness web module training followed by attending our in-person workshop that covers responsible social programming with alcohol, alcohol programming requirements, bystander intervention, substance free monitor roles and expectations, programming limitations with co-sponsors, and event marketing and promotion. All chapter social functions that involve alcohol must have trained substance free monitors on duty. Substance free monitor trainings are available throughout the semester.

Hazing Prevention Training Modules
