Student Services

Ohio University understands that as a nurse you are an integral member of the health care team treating, educating and caring for patients in your facilities. At Ohio University you are also a vital member of our student body and deserve the same attention to detail you give your patients. We provide you with facilitators, technical support, academic advisors and more so you can focus on your education.

Academic Support

Your academic success is our priority. From the start of your program, Ohio University resources are available to help you reach your goal of graduating with a BSN degree. In each nursing class you will have a facilitator who is a highly qualified, experienced leader in his or her field and has earned a master's or doctorate degree. This academic role assists the professor, supports the student by providing feedback, and answers course-related questions.

RN to BSN Nursing Knowledge Center

The RN to BSN Student Knowledge Center is a website with links to the most frequently used student services. Students are able to access services through the site such as registering for classes, ordering textbooks, logging in to courses, contacting tech support and understanding financial aid information.

Comprehensive Electronic Library

As an RN to BSN student you will have full access to Ohio University Libraries, which offer a number of resources for RN to BSN online students and thousands of individual electronic books and journals, which you can connect to from off-campus. With a focus on electronic resources that are available at any time, the libraries offer reference guides, a distance education blog, how-to guides, podcast library tours and databases at your fingertips.

The Library site includes a LibGuide research guide tailored to help students in the RN to BSN program find what they need, and a Health Sciences librarian is available via phone or email to help with your questions. Plus, through "Ask a Librarian" you can contact the library for help via Instant Message, Skype, online chat, phone or email.
