You are responsible to know dates that are important to your success. Many of those dates are included in the Academic Calendar.
Students are responsible for registering themselves using the Registration Instructions (PDF).
Late registration for nursing (NRSE) courses is prohibited. Registration for NRSE courses closes 7 days prior to each session start date. Check course offerings to find the course start date. NRSE course instructors do not have authority to allow late registration to NRSE courses.
Enrolling in a General Education Course (Non-Nursing) After the Last Day to Add:
If you want to add a general education (non-nursing) course after the last day to register, you must gain permission from the instructor. Please email the instructor of record. Check course offerings to find the Last Day to Add date and the Instructor of record.
To cancel classes prior to the start of a semester: If the first session of the semester has not yet started, you may cancel registration yourself by logging in to your account at My OHIO Student Center and using the “Drop” function on your enrollment page.
To drop/withdraw/cancel on or after the start of the semester: All RN to BSN students must complete the Online Withdrawal form found at: My OHIO Student Center.. You will need the course prefix/number, course title, class number, and start/end dates. For example: NRSE 4510 Professional Nursing Practice, 10581, 03/25/2013 to 04/27/2013. Please find this information on your schedule when you log in at

These requests are processed on a daily basis during office hours (M-F, 8-5PM Eastern) by the Office of the Registrar, so please allow time for their staff to process. More information and contact information for the Office of the Registrar can be found here: .
Please remember that any course dropped ON or AFTER the class starts will have financial implications. The only way to receive a 100% refund is to cancel registration by the day BEFORE classes begin. Please visit the Ohio University Registrar webpage for more information: .
A partial refund may be possible between the start date and drop deadline; please click on the calendar icon next to your class on your schedule in your My OHIO Student Center to learn more.
A student must drop a course BEFORE the first day it meets to receive a 100% credit or refund.
Dropping a course on the first day of class through the fourth day of a 5-week-long class will result in an 80% credit or refund.
Typically, after the fourth day of a 5-week-long course the student is responsible to pay full tuition, regardless of whether they attended class.
Course length may vary and it is the student's responsibility to be aware of all course dates relating to dropping courses for credit or refund consideration by the university.
Current dates and deadlines specific to the RN-to-BSN program can be found on the Course Offerings page.
