The Amanda J. Cunningham Leadership Center's "Leader of the Month" program serves to recognize students from all disciplines at Ohio University for their leadership in various ways. 

Students may either apply or be nominated. Applications or nominations are due on the 10th of every month.

Criteria the review committees will use in determining recipients are: 

• demonstrates commitment to integrity through action
  
• created environment where others can be successful
• demonstrates leadership skills without necessarily having a position
  
• demonstrates commitment to growth in self and others
• exemplifies Ohio University's 5 C's: Character, Civility, Community, Citizenship, and Commitment
  

Recipients will receive recognition in Amanda J. Cunningham Leadership Center's display monitor, press releases, student's hometown newspaper, and all marketing and communication materials. Also, student leader of the month will be treated to lunch with Dean of Students, Ryan Lombardi.
