Planning Events and Programs Sound System Usage
Sound systems may be used on-campus by student organizations. Interested organizations should reserve the University facility they are interested in using and abide by the policies of that facility. The College Green usage policy is available by clicking here.
A lecternette public address system (small portable unit with self-contained sound amplifier and microphone) is available for a small fee from the Instructional Media Services, 225 Alden Library, 593-2668. As a lecternette is designed to be set on top of a table, contact University Moving & Surplus, Building 9 The Ridges, 593-0463, to make arrangements for a table.
Permission to use a car-top public address system must be secured from the Campus Involvement Center by completing a Miscellaneous Event Registration form available on-line. Groups must also obtain a permit for such use from the Athens City Police Law Administration Building on College Street.
