I’m Janet Russell, the School Certifying Official for Veterans and Military Student Services at Ohio University. I was a West Virginia Army National Guard spouse for 31 years and have over 20 years of medical experience. I joined Ohio University in 2012 in the College of Health Sciences and Professions Student Services, became a Records Management Assistant in 2013, and in 2014 took my current role as Records Management Specialist and School Certifying Official.
I certify enrollment for veteran and military-dependent students using VA benefits, ensure their courses meet degree requirements, and supervise the Veterans Center Student Work Study Program. In my free time, I enjoy family, my grandson Aden, walking, and reading.
