Located in Alden Library 226, the Student Writing Center provides free scheduled and walk-in face-to-face appointments.

Assistance is available at any stage of the writing process, from understanding the assignment to looking at the revised draft.

You can get help with developing the thesis or main idea, organizing or developing the ideas, the bibliography, grammatical issues or any other writing concerns.

Fall hours

Monday-Friday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

All students will meet their tutor in Alden 226.

If you are planning to incorporate any kind of writing task, small or large, in your course for Fall 2019 or Spring 2020, please consider including the following information in your syllabus:

The Student Writing Center (SWC), provides free writing assistance through scheduled face-to-face appointments and walk-ins (no appointment necessary). Assistance is available for any stage of the writing process, from talking about ideas and where to go with them, organizing and/or developing those ideas, helping to improve or extend a thesis, expanding and organizing the paper based on the thesis, helping with citations, grammatical issues, or any other writing concern.
